Beyond The Secret

 If the Law of Attraction really works, why aren’t we all lottery winners and married to super models?

I still remember the first time I was introduced to the Law of Attraction (aka The Secret). I was sick, and my mom was trying to teach me the power of my words. I scoffed at her words. The idea that I could personally create in my life was offensive. I felt powerless in so many areas of my life. Multiple Sclerosis. Disability. Severe Poverty. A childhood filled with abuse and pain. None of these were things I would have created. None of this was intentional, so the idea that I could heal, create and empower myself through simple words seemed ridiculous.

In a moment of absolute desperation, I found The Secret. The lower left side of my body was paralyzed. I had lost most of the vision in my left eye. I was desperate. Something about Morris Goodman’s (The Miracle Man) story inspired me. I reasoned that his body was worse than mine, so if this “happy thoughts” stuff could work for him, maybe there was a chance it could work for me. And it did. And in that moment, my healing journey began.

I studied every author, book and method I could for applying the Law of Attraction to my life. Some things manifested very easily, and other things did not. It seemed that some areas of my life didn’t create and align the same way as other areas did. So what was the deal?

I began to channel additional information and insights to the Law of Attraction.

Could there be some fine print to the law? The answer is Yes!

The Law of Attraction is always in effect. It’s always working. That is a universal truth. However, before you incarnated into this life time, you choose certain Soul Lessons, Soul Purpose, and Soul Contracts for your life. The Soul Lessons, Soul Purpose, and Soul Contract are sacred. They are paramount for this incarnation, and the Law of Attraction will always honor the Soul Work you came here to do. In other words, you cannot use the Law of Attraction to violate a Soul Lesson, Soul Purpose, or Soul contract.

Here’s an example:

Let’s look at June. June has had many lifetimes where she never truly grasped her own worth, so in this lifetime, June wants to be able to learn and recognize her own inherent value (the divinity within herself). To be in alignment with this Soul Lesson, June must create and attract prosperity through Soul Work of recognizing that she is, indeed, worthy of living a pleasurable and affluent life. Therefore, June cannot use the Law of Attraction to win the lottery because the lottery does not validate her soul worth. The lottery is a random chance at wealth, not based on deserving. There, June has to attract it in a way that demonstrates she recognizes the seed of God and Universe within herself. She must see herself as deserving.

Another example:

Tom has always lost himself in relationships. For the last 8 lifetimes, he married young and never developed a true sense of who he was outside of the couple status. So in this lifetime, Tom will not be able to move into a Soul Based Relationship (aka soul mate) until he has been able to heal this Soul Lesson.  Tom will likely bounce from relationship to relationship – or perhaps remain alone – until he has seen the “wholeness” within himself. He does not need a relationship to be complete. When this Soul Lesson is satisfied, Tom can use the Law of Attraction to find his Soul Mate.

You are an important part of the universe, and the universe will always work in harmony with the growth of your Soul. The Universe uses many Laws (rules) to help us grow and ascend as spirit beings. The Law of Attraction is one of those laws. The Soul Stuff (soul contract, soul purpose,  soul lesson, soul cords) is another way the universe conspires and literally shifts everything around us to help us do what we came to earth to do: Live, Learn, Grow, and Love.

In order to be able to get the most of using the Law of Attraction in your life, it is helpful to know what Soul Stuff you came here to do. As long as what you are trying to create or manifest doesn’t violate a Soul Lesson, Contract or Purpose, then you have the power to create whatever you want in your life. As you move through your Soul Stuff, it will become easier and easier to use the Law of Attraction to create the life of your dreams.
